Alice (Shurtliff) Jensen, 83, of Fort Shaw, a retired banker and farmer, died of natural causes on Monday, March 4, 2013 at her home.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairfield, Montana.Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Alice was born on November 4, 1929, in Ismay, Montana to Harry and Eva Shurtliff.She was raised in Big Sandy, Montana and graduated from Big Sandy High School.She moved to Great Falls and worked at the Montana Bank as a bank teller and manager.Alice married Alvin Jensen.She and Alvin moved to Fort Shaw, where they owned and raised registered Charolais cattle.Alvin passed away in 2005 and Alice continued to live at the farm until she passed away.She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.Alice enjoyed watching the news and almost all sports.She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.Alice is survived by her daughter, Christine (Denny) Rocca of Columbus, Ohio; sons Matthew (Kristin) Jensen of Fort Shaw, and Bradford Jensen of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Shirley Zwemke of Colorado and Irene Rice of Big Sandy; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Jensen; daughters-in-law Samantha Jensen and Cindy Jensen.Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
