Anna "Leah" Dolena

Anna Leah Dolena, 91, of Great Falls, died on Friday, October 11, 2013. At her request there will be no services. Her ashes will be buried at a later date in a private family service at the Cottonwood Bench cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.She was born on April 22, 1922 to Edwin and Gretchen Erickson on her grandparents, Joe Sarzins ranch in Cottonwood Coulee in Stockett. A cousin, William Shirley, still owns the ranch.Leah was always happy; if someone needed help she was right there. She was a big help at the Senior center in Stockett. She used to take meals from the senior center to the outlying areas. She always had a smile and time to talk to people. She always remembered her family and friends for their birthdays and anniversaries by sending them a card. She never forgot anyone. She enjoyed reading, gardening, her violet collection, country living, and her animals. Leah was a great caregiver, the warmest and kindest person you ever knew.Leah is survived by her sister, Alvina Stroop; her niece Jackie Henry; her great niece Emily Stroop; a very special cousin, Bill Shirley; JoAnn Shirley, and Bruce Skaggs.She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Janice Skaggs.Memorials are suggested to the Stockett Community Bible Chapel or the Centerville Senior Citizens.
