Anneliese Edith Sherman, 86, of Great Falls, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at a local hospice facility.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Westside United Methodist Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Anneliese Ann was born on May 30, 1927, in Dippach, Germany to Josef and Lydia (Holzheld) Seufert. She received her schooling in Germany.She came to this country in 1948 and became a citizen in 1955.Ann married Raymond Riggin in 1948, and they later divorced. She married Robert Petronek in 1963 and he passed away in 1966.She then married Roger Sherman in 1972.For many years, she worked for Montana Bank, which became First Interstate Bank.She was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church, Westside United Methodist Womens Group, and the Daughters of the Nile.Ann held several different positions both in the church and womens group.Ann enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching.Ann is survived by her husband, Roger Sherman; her children, Edith (Walter) Wilson of Vaughn, Robert (Pamela) Riggin, Richard Riggin, and Steven (Denise) Riggin all of Great Falls; step-children, Bradford Sherman of Massachusetts and Barbara Frankovich of Boise, ID: 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Josef and Lydia Seufert.
