Barbara Ann English passed away peacefully in her home on December 8, 2020. She was born Barbara Ann Will in Brooklyn New York on May 4, 1937. She attended school and charm school in Brooklyn. In 1954, Barbara married the love of her life, Alvin English. As the wife of a service member, Barbara lived all over the United States and Germany. In 1971, they retired to Great Falls, Montana.Throughout her travels, her career was spent doing administrative work in various fields including hospitals, a dental office, nursing home, and telephone company. Barbara also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls. Barbara is best known for her vivid story telling of life experiences. She enjoyed a full life and loved to laugh. Her family was the most important thing to her. She loved to travel and enjoyed the snowbird life with her husband spending winters in Tucson, Arizona. Barbara loved to cook. Italian food was her specialty. She also loved to crochet and play cards. Barbara will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin English, who passed away in 1996; parents; sisters, Betty and Joyce; and her niece, Susan. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Bob) Green of Liberty Lake, WA; son, Allen English of Bozeman, MT; granddaughter, Candice Barth of Billings, MT; grandson, Chris Green of Liberty Lake, WA; grandson, Connor English of Bozeman, MT; granddaughter, Delaney English of Bozeman, MT; and three great-grandchildren. A family viewing is scheduled for December 14, 2020, followed by burial at Highland Cemetery in Great Falls. A memorial is being planned for spring 2021.
