Celebrating a Life of 97 Years
Bj Gerhart, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great- grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 97. Her long and remarkable life was a testament to love, strength, and devotion to her family.
She was the daughter of Lloyd and Kate Thomes, born in Great Falls, Montana on June 26, 1928. She graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane, Washington. She attended college in Missoula, Montana, and lived for a while in Portland, Oregon. Then she came home to Great Falls, the town she loved. She worked at the Clinic Pharmacy for about 25 years. Bj was an avid Griz fan and attended many games.
Bj was the proud mother of two daughters, Cherri and Diane, who brought her joy and fulfillment. Over the years, her family grew to include two generation family groups, including her mother, Kate, and her grandmother, Margaret Dobin.
Bj’s legacy is one of resilience and laughter. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her independent spirit, sharp wit, and wicked sense of humor. She enjoyed the casinos and the independence that kept her living on her own until she was 95 years old.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Bj’s life serves as an inspiration to those she leaves behind, reminding us to cherish every moment and to hold dear the bonds of family and love.
She will be deeply missed by her family.
