Carl Frederick Thrasher

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Carl F Thrasher I, Husband, Father, Son and Brother, passed away surrounded by family. Carl will be remembered by many for his: tutoring, love for all creatures great and small, baking abilities, chocolate caramel brownies, knowledge of computers and teaching computer classes at Park University - Malmstrom. Carl was born August 25, 1947 in Barton, New York to Edwin and Jennie Thrasher.After graduating from Towanda Area High School, he joined the Air Force and met the love of his life Gail when stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base.They raised a family together and were foster parents (34 Years) to many more.Carl enjoyed learning and earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Montana.Carl retired from the Great Falls Public School System as a computer technician. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Jennie; brothers, Paul and Alan; and honorary son, Brandon Staigmiller. Carl is survived by his wife, Gail Thrasher;six children, Mililani May (Krandal), Heather Brown (Dallas), Carl Thrasher II (Sara), Jodi Thrasher, Zachary Thrasher (Dee) , Alisa Thrasher (Andrew); and eight grandchildren, Duster, Savannah, Tobey, Madalinn, Brittney, Makayla, Tessa and Azelea. Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
