Catherine "Nan" Verdejo

Visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at OConnor Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at OConnor Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Nan was born to Mary and Octavio Verdejo on December 21, 1949. She moved to Montana in 1987 to help her only sister raise her children while her sisters health was failing her.She loved hard and fought hard until the Lord called her home on October 20, 2016. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones at her passing. She loved to read, cook, watch her old westerns, play chess, and loved to spend time with her family.She will be dearly missed at all times but most during the upcoming holiday family feasts in which, when you'd walk in and she would yell out, Can you smell what the Nan is cooking? She leaves behind her daughter, Regina Whitehurst; grandson Terrell Terry; niecess Christal (DeAnthony) Lewis, Hope Austin, Joy Frederick, Jilleak (Justin) Richie; nephew Gregg (Vanessa) Gray; numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews that keep all the great memories you left us with!You were more than my aunt, you were my mother. I will cherish every moment we shared. I love you always and forever Aunt Nanny!
