Chuck Maxwell, 70, of Vaughn, passed away Saturday, Oct 29, 2016 at Benefis Healthcare.A celebration of life will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Oct 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment of ashes will be at Manchester Cemetery following the service. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Chuck was born February 21, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas to Charles and Emily (Dench) Maxwell. He attended schools mainly in New Mexico, enlisted in the Air Force in 1965 at age 19, where he went to technical school to become an electronic technician. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving for one year in combat at Nui Ba Den Mountain. Between 1980 and 1985, he taught electronics at Keesler Air Force Base. He served for 20 years retiring in 1985.In 1969, he married his wife Chony in San Rafael, CA, at his father's house. After he retired from the Air Force he and his wife decided to stay in Great Falls where they already had a home. A few years later they bought some property in the Fairfield Bench and started a small cattle operation which Chuck loved.His main hobby, other than ranching, was target shooting for accuracy.He is survived by his wife; first cousin, Bill Williams; and many close friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Patrick.Condolences may be posted online at www.schniderfiineralhome.com.
