Clifford "Duwayne" Leininger

Duwayne Leininger, 90, of Great Falls, died on October 8, 2013.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Duwayne was born on January 30, 1923 in Fortuna, North Dakota to George and Mary (Knox) Leininger. In his early years, he was a wheat farmer.Duwayne then worked for CascadeCustodial Supply until his retirement at the age of 62.He loved to go to local baseball and basketball games, and boxing events.Duwayne is survived by his companion of 30 years, Gloria Murphy; sons Brett, John, and Terry Murphy; brother Kenneth; sisters Juanita Hensley and Carol Smith; Aunt Charlotte Wigness; best friend, Dale Shelton; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nellie Leininger; step-father Amos Fruend; and sister Bernice Simkins.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association, MT Chapter, 3010 11th Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101 or the American Cancer Society, 1903 Central Ave., Billings, MT 59102.Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
