Daryl Eugene Parmiter, 65, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on November 29, 2014, of natural causes at Peace Hospice House.At his request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Daryl was born on May 19, 1949, to Merle and Eloise Parmiter in Rocky Ford, CO. He was the third child of seven children. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 and was later discharged due to a physical disability. Daryl took a bicycle trip in the early 70s and traveled across several states. Daryl had many jobs in his lifetime, to name a few he did construction work, was a postman, worked on the railroad, and did telemarketing. There wasnt really anything Daryl couldnt do or wouldnt do to support his family.Daryl was a man of laughter and love. He never hesitated to joke and smile, warming the people around him. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He loved the outdoors, cooking, reading and fishing. Daryl also loved sports, all of them, but his favorite was football and his favorite team was the Seahawks. He and his brothers would discuss the games and make fun of each others teams. He was a man with a very good, decent soul and he held his good humor until the end.He married the love of his life Darlene Montgomery on April 19, 2008, in Gig Harbor, WA. They had a loving bond that words could not express. He moved to Great Falls, MT in September 2008 where they began their life together.Daryl is survived by his wife Darlene of six years; mother Eloise; two brothers and two sisters Larry (Kay) Parmiter, Judy (Syl) Spino, Sheryl (Larry) Smith and Norm (Barbara) Parmiter; two stepsons Christopher Montgomery and Nolan Hall; son Jason (Lindsay) Parmiter; two granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father Merle; sister Louise; brother Merlin; and mother-in-law Francis VanWinkle.The family would like to thank Dr. Guter, Dr. Kluge, Dr. Sandford, the Great Falls Specialty Clinic Infusion Department, the CVS Pharmacy staff for their care and Peace Hospice House who made his final days enjoyable.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405.
