Deanna K. Lansel 72, of Great Falls passed away June 23, 2018 at a local hospital. At her request no service will be held. A private burial has already taken place. Deanna was born May 23, 1946 in Ogden Utah to David and Barbara Kerbs. The family moved to Great Falls in 1960, while in high school she worked for Howard’s Pizza. In 1964 she met the love of her life Paul J. Lansel who was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base. They married in 1966 and moved back to the Midwest and had 4 children. Besides being a homemaker Mom had various jobs working at a nursery school, cleaning offices and restaurant work. Deanna loved cooking, baking, crocheting, music, telling stories and watching old romantic movies, her favorite movie was the Notebook. She loved making blankets for her grandkids and spending time with them. Deanna always gave contributions to the Wounded Veterans, Cancer, Boystown, and a few others she was always trying to help. She had a fondness for animals, and always loved being on a farm raising ducks, dogs, cats and birds. One experience she always talked about was the time her son Richard won tickets to the pit area at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where she got to go and meet the race car drivers, she always said how much fun she had. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Derek) Donahey; sons David (Katie) Lansel and Richard Lansel; brother Owen Kerbs; six grandchildren, Kayle and Kyle Donahey, Avery Haines, Kendall, Chase and Forrest Lansel; brother in law Richard Lansel; Uncle Earl Conley, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle; husband Paul; parents David and Barbara Kerbs, and sister in law Patty Witzel.
