Dorothy Medean

Dorothy Young Medean, 92, was surrounded by her loving family and friends at the time of her passing on Sunday, October 27, 2013. She will always be remembered and greatly missed.Dorothy was born and raised in Great Falls, MT, graduating from GFHS in 1939. She worked at Kresses until she began her career in insurance. She retired from Home Office Insurance in 1985, where she earned Insurance Woman of the Year. Dorothy married Pete Medean in February of 1942 and they had two children. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her loving dog Cooter, going to her Parkinsons support group, luncheons with her insurance friends and monthly meetings with the class of 39.Survivors include her sister, Betty MacDonald; her children, Gary (Faith) Medean, Sue Medean; grandchildren Kristy (Tim) Fox, Robert Medean, and Robert (Karen) Doughty; four great grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; and eleven great nieces and nephews.At her request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
