Emma Pauline (Rosin) Hodges, 84, passed away from natural causes on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Bee Hive Homes, 2420 15th Ave. S., Great Falls.Her memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at New Hope Lutheran Ministry, 3125 5th Ave. S., Great Falls. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Emma was born to Math and Kathrin (Siegle) Rosin on February 14, 1930 in Fallon, Montana. The family moved to the Fairfield Bench in 1937 where Emma attended Greenfield School. She graduated from Power High School in 1948. After graduation Emma moved to Great Falls and worked at the First National Bank. While running errands for her job, she caught Harolds eye on the post office steps. They married at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairfield, Montana on September 25, 1949. Last month they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.Emma enjoyed sewing for her family and with her sewing club, crocheting, going dancing, camping and raising her three daughters. She was active with Altar Guild at her church. After Harold retired, they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and spent numerous winters in Yuma, Arizona. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Emma is survived by her husband Harold Hodges; daughters Peggy Dean of Great Falls, Barbara (Ken Cox) Partney of Corvallis, MT and Debbie (John) McColgin of Spokane, WA; grandchildren Robert (Andrea) Dean, Michelle (Don) Fitzgerald, Thomas Partney, Donna Rhodda, Daniel (Amber) Partney, Jamie (Nick) Gerten, Megan (Andrew) Esqueda, and Sean McColgin; three step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren; brothers Herb Rosin of Butte and Larry (Delores) Rosin of Helena; sister Esther Schmidt of Choteau; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Shane Baker.The family extends thanks to Bee Hive Homes and Peace Hospice of Montana for their compassionate care.Memorials are suggested to New Hope Lutheran Ministry, 3125 5th Ave. S., Great Falls, MT 59405 or to donors choice.
