Fae Ethel Schedel 94, of Great Falls, MT passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Per her request, no services are being planned. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home. Fae was born on October 4, 1924 to William and Fannie Steele in Hanks, ND. She grew up and during World War II she worked in the shipyards in Bremerton, WA. She then returned to her hometown of Grenora, ND to hold a number of jobs around that area until she married Wally Schedel on October 7, 1950. She later worked as a floral designer for Wolf Point Floral, was a checker for Buttrey Foods and later Albertsons retiring in 1986 in Lewistown, MT. Fae was a member of the Sunrise Presbyterian Church. She always had an interest in needlework and was an excellent seamstress. While she was staying and helping her mother-in-law, she taught grandma how to knit and she learned how to quilt. All of her kids and grandkids have at least one of her beautiful quilts. She liked music and spent happy hours playing in the “Kitchen Band” in Lewistown. She played a variety of instruments, but was a Kazoo master. Fae is survived by her husband Wally Schedel of GF, MT; daughter Phyllis Schindele; sons, Charlie and Fred Schedel; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was prededed in death by her parents and all her brothers and sisters.
