George Bailly

George Joseph Bailly, 80, of Billings, died on May 28, 2013.A vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.A funeral liturgy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.George was born on the family farm at Vida, Montana to Joseph and Anna (Richard) Bailly on February 22, 1933. He served in the US Army and in 1960 married Helen Diekhans. He worked as a Ford mechanic and then farmed at Fort Shaw, Dutton and Fairfield. In 1980, he sold the farm and started selling and constructing grain bins and buildings. He continued that until retiring in 2010. He and Helen have resided with their son, Jerome in Billings since 2011.George is survived by his wife, Helen; sons Joseph (Beth) Bailly of Conrad, George (Deanna) Bailly of Snohomish WA, Jerome Bailly of Billings, and Gregory (Tessa) Bailly of Helena; daughters Jeanmarie (Gordon) Wright of Sidney, BC, Canada, and Janice Sullivan of Fernley NV. He is also survived by the lights of his life, his 14 grandchildren Stephanie, Jessica, Danielle, Jacob, Montana, Melody, Ethan, Avery, Jenaya, Jake, Jaiden, Aloysia, Matthew, and Marcus.He was preceded in death by a son Matthew Peter; and a daughter Jennifer Anna; also his mother and father; brothers Julian and Albert Bailly; and sisters Margaurite Lemieux and Magdalene Losinski.Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
