Georgia Breier

May 3, 1942 — December 12, 2025

Great Falls

Georgia Breier of Great Falls passed away at the aged 83, on December 12, 2025.

Georgia Ann was born in Great Falls on May 3, 1942, to Helen and George Ferda. She attended Great Falls public schools and at the age of 16, she started working at Ford’s Drive In, the Burger Master, and Sweetheart Bread.

In April of 1960, she married Jerry Breier and in 1968, they moved to Los Angeles. Jerry went to work for cable tv, and Georgia went to beauty school. Georgia then went on a different path and went to truck driving school to drive eighteen wheelers cross country with Jerry.

After that adventure, in 1978, they moved back to Great Falls and opened the first retail beauty supply in MT, the Briar Patch. Shortly after, she and Jerry divorced but remained good friends.

Georgia continued to grow the Briar Patch and added hair salons to the business. She opened seven locations in five MT cities. After 35 years in business, she decided to close her business and retire.

Georgia was a Montana girl at heart and a very generous one.

Our days with Georgia on earth may have ended, but our memories never will.

Georgia was preceded in death by her mother; father; and brother, Jerry.

She is survived by her sisters, Judy (Rick) Higgins and Debby (Ron) Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Georgia’s life will be planned at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Hospice.
