Harry R. Carr

Harry R. Carr, 78, of Great Falls, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at a local hospital.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Burial of ashes will follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Harry was born on May 22, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana to George and Mary (Hayden) Carr. He graduated from high school in Boulder, CO. He married Judy Reed in 1960 and they later divorced. Harry married Colleen Nelson in 1983 in Great Falls, MT. Harry was a manager of a body shop in Boulder, CO from 1957 to 1977. From 1977 until his retirement, he worked as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Ins. Co. in Great Falls.Harry would buy salvaged autos and repaired them and he loved to listen to Johnny Cash. He was a member of the Elks Club in Boulder, CO.Harry is survived by his daughters, Debra Dolan of Roundup, MT, Daphne (Allen) Beck of Fairfield, MT, and Dodie (Steve) Bauer of Spangle, WA; son Byron (Karen) Carr of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Carr.
