Helen M. O'Connor Miller

Helen M. OConnor Miller, 96, of Belt, MT passed away at Benefis Senior Care ,Tuesday, May 31, 2016, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.A funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Dick Schlosser presiding. Burial will follow on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nashua cemetery in Nashua, Montana with Deacon Ed Malone presiding.Helen was born on October 21, 1919 to Harry E. Larson and Katherine M. Larson. She married the first love of her life, Loren J. OConnor, in August of 1940. They built a life together in Nashua where she was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Loren later passed away of cancer on December 4, 1980. Helen married the second love of her life, Harold M. Miller, in June of 1988. He later passed away in 1992.Helen was active in the Nashua Home Demonstration Club and Queen of Angels Church Alter Society. She later moved to Belt, where her grandchildren would hop the fence daily to visit her. In Belt, Helen continued being an avid card player and made the most delicious homemade lemon meringue pie. Her contagious smile lit up a room and her hugs made everyone feel special. She was simply the worlds best Mother and Grandmother.Helen is survived by her four children, Pat (Nan) OConnor of Billings, MT, Mike (Maryann) OConnor of Fort Benton, MT, Kathleen (James) Nicholls of Ulm, MT and Colleen (Martin) Johnson of Belt, MT; the Miller girls, Pat Hallet, Barb LaRoque, Char Arneson and Susan Poling; 11 grandchildren, Kristi Nyquist, Brent OConnor, Beverly Shuck, Lora Scammacca, Michelle OConnor-Hill, Duane Nicholls, Michael Nicholls, Loren Nicholls, Travis Johnson, Trevor Johnson, and Twylite Johnson; and 20 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Katherine Larson; siblings, Marsha Larson, Robert Larson, Phyllis Cummings, James Larson and George Larson; son Danny OConnor; great grandson Zachary Shuck.
