Jack Farmer

Jack Royal Farmer, 89, of Great Falls, passed away January 30, 2014.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Christian Church, 1025 Central Ave. A reception will immediately follow the service. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangementsHe was born January 6, 1925 in Belt, Montana. Jack was a lifelong Montanan and spent most of his working years as a barber in Great Falls. On June 30, 1957, he married Lorraine Roe.Throughout their married life, Jack and Lorraine traveled to 48 states and Canada. In retirement, they continued their love of travel as members of the Good Sams Club. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, playing cards with friends, and working in his garage making many useful and fun items.His love of people and family showed as he was always ready to lend a helping hand.Jack is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; daughter, Carol Young; sisters, Dean Young andNorma Johnson; grandchildren, Brett Habets and Kelli Burgad; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by sisters,Vivian Halley,Jewel Proszek,Opal Bardwell, andPolly Atkinson.Jack will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of his family, friends and all whose lives he touched.
