Jake D. Feeler, a long-time resident of Great Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the young age of 35. Jake is survived by his wife, Angella; three children, Nakota (13), KayLeigh (5), and Adalynn (15-months); father, James “Jim” Feeler, Jr.; mother, Peggy Sue “Red Thunder” Feeler; sister, Koki (William) Green; brothers, James “Duke” (Amber), Tyrel (Brittany), and Orrin Feeler; paternal grandparents, James “Ralph” (Leni) Feeler; and many aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Jake was born in Great Falls on August 16, 1984. He and his siblings spent most of their lives in the Sun River Valley, where he was raised as a member of the Mormon religion. Jake graduated from Simms High School in 2003, and later went on to become a welder for various companies in Great Falls. Jake, a gentle giant with a huge, heart of gold; was known to many as a “Jake” of all trades. He thoroughly enjoyed helping others working on anything and everything … including his father’s 1979 Chevy pick-up, fencing projects, our family motor home, brandings, calving’s, and anything else he could dive into that would allow him to be outdoors. He especially enjoyed bringing his son along to teach him the various trades he knew. Jake gained the most peace and enjoyment in life when spending it outdoors, with family and friends. Jake loved hiking in the mountains, back-packing, hunting, camping, and fishing - especially ice fishing, which had to be his all time favorite.
