Jean Elaine Wesland , 82, of Great Falls, a homemaker, passed away January 8, 2013 of natural causes at a local hospital. No services are planned at this time.Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Jean was born in Berry, Kentucky on June 19, 1930. For the past four years, she had resided at Missouri River Manor in Great Falls. Jean worked at various restaurants as a waitress and a cook. Most notable of the places she worked were the Barrel Caf and Fords Drive-In.Jean loved to bake and often made wedding and birthday cakes for friends and family.For a period of time, she also enjoyed doing ceramics, hosting friends as they would paint and kiln fire their work.Jean liked to learn new crafts and enjoyed crocheting.Jean grew fond of and appreciated her loyal caretakers at the Missouri River Manor.There is a hole in the hearts of those who loved her that can never be filled. While we mourn the loss of Mom, Grandma,, and Nana, we celebrate her freedom from pain and sickness. She will always be remembered for her smile, open arms, big heart, love, and wonderful dinners.She is survived by her children, Sandy Faris Sjogren (Dave) of Maple Grove, MN, Russ Faris (Marilyn) of Missoula, TerriWesland of Great Falls,Butch Wesland of Missoula, andKen Wesland (Marlene) if Great Falls; and sister-in-law RubyHamilton of St Ignatius.Mom also left behind 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lewis (Sonny) Wesland,an infant son, an infant grandson, Tyler, and brothers Rodney Hamilton and David Hamilton.
