John (Jack) Walton Gordon Jr.

John Walton Gordon Jr. (Jack), aged 82, of Highwood passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Great Falls, Montana.

John was born April 26,1944, in Lewistown, Montana to John Sr. and Ann Gordon. He was the oldest of six children. He attended Fergus County High in Lewistown and graduated in 1962. He married Mary C. (Chris Kolar) Gordon in Raynesford on July 11, 1965. They had three children Jeffrey, Cathy and Jennifer. They divorced in 1992.

John was a proud Veteran of the Armed Services. He served in the Air National and Army National Guard. In 1976, he formed his own business, Gordon Construction Company. Over his 50-year career, he gained a respected status in his field of expertise through his hard work, honest character, outstanding abilities and positive reputation. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting people, became close friends with many while working until he retired.

Those who knew John will remember him for his work ethic, love of dancing, bowling, tractor rides, auctions, and attending family events. He had a way of making everyone feel like family. He always had a smile and laughed wholeheartedly!

John is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Toni) Gordon of Billings, Cathy Gordon (Craig) of Helena, and Jennifer (Will) Moore of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Daniel Gordon (Sienna), Justin Gordon (Veronica), and Kaitlyn (Sarlin) Polanco, Autumn and Keair Adgerson, Michel, Anaya, and DJ Moore; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Landon Adgerson, Prince Moore, and Thiago Polanco; brother, Jerold (Kathy) Gordon of Billings.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Gordon Sr. and Ann Haworth; brothers, Larry (Joe) Gordon, James (Jim) Gordon, and Jerome (Bob) Gordon; and sister, Carol Waite.

We love you very much Dad and you will always be in our hearts. Please watch over us and guide us with your wisdom.

A celebration and burial will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to a Veterans organization of your choice.
