Joseph James Beauregard, 68, of Fort Benton, passed away December 4, 2020, in Great Falls at the Ivy. Jim “Beau” was born December 21, 1951, in Fort Benton, Montana to Joseph and Margaret Beauregard. Beau was the baby of the family, with three older sisters to welcome him. He grew up on the family farm north of Fort Benton and attended school there. After graduating from Fort Benton High School in 1970, Beau went on to college in Havre. He later returned to Fort Benton to run the family farm. Beau married Jackie Gilbert on November 30, 1974. They had two children, daughter, Tiffany and son, Justin. They later divorced and remarried, having daughter Crysta. During their married life there were many summers spent at Tiber camping with all the “Goons.” The kids have lots of fond memories of those days. Beau and Jackie later divorced. Beau worked many jobs over the years after selling the farm and moving to town. He worked at the Choteau County Fairgrounds, Wilray, the grain elevator loading trains, and with his most notorious work on The Horse Whisper movie set. He enjoyed working as a ranch hand for Randy Crawford, Lee Taylor, Kenny Ritland and the Streit Family. He also enjoyed reading, woodworking, photography, and drawing over the years. Beau loved hunting and fishing with his kids and the “Goons.” He was an avid bowler, bowling a perfect 300 game and everyone knew of his love for his Chicago Bears. In 2010, Beau moved to Kalispell to live with his son Justin. In 2013, he had a bicycle crash that landed him in the ICU for three weeks and the hospital for another sven weeks. He suffered a traumatic brain injury from that crash; needing care 24-7, and was later moved to the Missouri River Manor in Great Falls. Beau is survived by his children, Tiffany (Scott) Byron, Justin (Kindee) Beauregard, and Crysta (Jacob) Pitcher; grandsons, Gordon and Hudson Pitcher; ex-wife, Jackie Klimas; brothers-in-law, Scottie Peters and John McIntosh; nephews, Donny, Russ and Keith Brewer, Mike McIntosh and their families.
