Joseph Allen Al Voytoski, 71, of Great Falls, a retired printer and teacher passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 of natural causes in his home surrounded by his loving family.A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Schnider Funeral Home. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Allen was born March 18, 1943 in Great Falls, Montana. He received his diploma from Great Falls High School, where he was an all-state football player in 1961. He then graduated from Western Teachers College with a Secondary Education degree in Biology. He started his teaching career in Portland, Oregon where he coached football, golf, and baseball. Allen joined the Army National Guard while teaching in Oregon and before returning to Montana. After leaving the teaching profession he held several jobs with trucking companies in the Portland area. In 1982, Allen returned to Great Falls where he retired after 25 years as a printer with Advanced Litho Printing.In 1983, Allen married the love of his life, Terri Ann Haggard (as he used to call her Hazel), whom he met in Portland, Oregon. Together they had two daughters, Amanda and Kimberlee.Allen taught his girls to love the outdoors and to enjoy the beauty of Montana. Allen always put his family first, encouraging and teaching them throughout life. As all of Allens family and friends know he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and telling a good joke. He is loved and remembered most for his kind heart, sense of humor, and strong desire to teach people the right way, Allens way of doing things.Allen is survived by his wife, Terri Voytoski of Great Falls; daughters Amanda Voytoski and Kimberlee (Jon) Aitken both of Great Falls; granddaughter Makenna Aitken of Great Falls; mother and father-in-law Dave and Ann Haggard of Rockaway Beach, OR; brother Kevin Voytoski of Great Falls; sisters Alaina Bohler of Monument, CO and Kay Hawkins of Littleton, CO; brother-in-law Randy Haggard and sister-in-law Robin Haggard both of Gresham, OR; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousinsHe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Virginia Voytoski; infant brother Leonard Voytoski; and brother-in-law Rick Haggard of Gresham, OR.The Voytoski family would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at Benefis Intensive Care, PCU Unit, Sletten Cancer Institute, Peace Hospice, and dedicated caregivers Peggy and Christy.In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th St S, Great Falls, MT 59405 or a charity of your choice.The greatest thing a father can do to his children, is to love their mother.
