Juanita "Billie" Krakalia

Juanita Billie Bowen Barbre Krakalia, 91, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 peacefully in her sleep of natural causes.Per Billies request no services were held. Cremation took place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Billie was born June 27, 1925 in Great Falls where she has resided her entire life. She graduated from Great Falls High in 1943. In September of that year, she married Robert Bob Barbre. They had two children, Carol born in 1945 and Michael born in 1948. As mother of two children and wife of a farmer she was kept very busy. During those years, she was a Brownie leader, Girl Scout leader, and Cub Scout leader.She belonged to the League of Women Voters, played bridge with her friends, and also bowled in a league. Bob and she greatly enjoyed traveling, which included several trips to Europe.After Bobs death, Billie moved to town and enjoyed the ranks of the employed, working as an eligibility technician for the welfare department. In 1976, she married Eugene Gene Krakalia. She and Gene also enjoyed traveling and did so as often as possible, as long as they could.Billie is survived by her son, Michael Barbre of Great Falls; daughter Carol (Robert) Drga, formerly of Waukesha, WI and now of Great Falls; stepdaughter Jane Krakalia Rudolf; stepson Nick Krakalia; grandson Ben (Shelly) Barbre of Great Falls; granddaughter Laura Drga of Bay Harbor Island, FL and Jenica (Scott) Wolski of Wauwatosa, WI.She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and almost all of her closest friends.A special thanks to a wonderful team of caregivers, Christine, Debra, Krista, Krystal, and Nancy.
