June Bright

June Ellis Bright Boots, 63, passed away on May 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Great Falls after a long courageous battle with cancer.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A reception will follow at Schnider Funeral Home. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.June was born on February 4, 1953 in Dubuque, Iowa to Ronald and Deloris Smith and was raised by June and Fran Smith in Concord, CA.June loved working with the "public" and bartended for many years at the Elks Club, The Hideout Lounge and several other establishments. Her giving and caring nature led her to Toys for Tots which she was involved in for 12 years. In 2015, June enrolled in college. She enrolled in woodcarving and quickly found her newest passion. In addition to woodcarving, June enjoyed the outdoors, animals, rides on the Harley with her husband, Jeff and most of all time with her entire family to whom she was everything except in her words, She was no Betty Crocker.To her children, she was loving and fiercely loyal and to her grandchildren she was Super G.June is survived by her best friend and husband, Jeff Bright of Great Falls; daughters Nicole Cook and Michelle (Paul Keller) Bright; son Justin (Brianna Johnson) Bright; grandchildren Nakisha and NaKayla Cook, Addison Bright, Pauls three sons, and Ravyn Bright; brother Steve (Kathy) Smith of CA; sister Kim of ID; and numerous nieces, nephews and adopted grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Deloris Smith and June and Fran Smith; grandmother Nana Tina; and brothers Skip, Tony, Paul and Donald Smith.Memorials in Junes name may be made to Toys for Tots, c/o Mary Brewster, 1120 Ave. C NW, Great Falls, MT 59404.
