Karen Bea (Hilger) Hoffmann was born on September 21, 1951, in Glendive, Montana to Henry (Bob) and Martha Hilger. Karen was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2026.
After graduating from Dawson County High School, she attended Eastern Montana College in Billings. It is there that she met the love of her life and her best friend, Jim Hoffmann. Jim and Karen were married on September 8, 1973, beginning their loving journey together. In May of 1979, they welcomed their first son, Nathan, to this world, it was then that Karen’s true vocation was realized, adoring and loving mother and wife. Matthew joined the family in November of 1981. Karen’s devotion to the Lord, her husband, and sons was unwavering and unconditional. She modeled for all faith, love, quiet strength, and determination that was amazing to witness.
She loved and was loved!
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 52 years, Jim; her two sons, Nathan (Anne) and Matthew (Kaitlen); sister, Gayle (John); brothers, David (Rita) and Mike (Connie); and her loving grandchildren, Addee, Grace, JJ, Madeline, Mark, and Nora.
