Kari Wambach, 60, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Peace Hospice after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schnider Funeral Home. At Kari’s request no services are planned. Kari was born June 23, 1958 in Great Falls, Montana to Bill and Sandy Zimmer. She grew up on the farm north of Highwood, Montana and graduated from Highwood High School in 1976. She attended Eastern Montana College in Billings and returned to Great Falls. She worked various jobs before finding her long time career in the engineering department with the City of Great Falls, where she remained until her death. She enjoyed her gardening, inspiring many to do the same. Her time with her grandkids was always special to her. She loved camping and standing in the creeks, gathering rocks that Mike would then haul home, which she would use to create beautiful landscapes. Her kitchen was a favorite place for her to both cook in and enjoy her sweet obsession of collecting dishes. Collecting purses and shoes of all styles was a passion of hers, too. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Isabella (Izzy) and her dogs, Lily and Neka. She is survived by her husband, Mike; daughter Suzanne Mora (Nick); grandchildren Hayden and Kierra; her mother, Sandy Mee (Larry); brothers Rick Zimmer (Char) and Rod Zimmer (Annette); sister Rita Linskey (Mike); nieces and nephews, Kasey and Josey Linskey, Lindsay Warner and Brandon Zimmer, and Jessy and Zach Zimmer; in-laws Joe Wambach and Sandy Rodriguez (Pedro); and other extended family and close friends.
