Kenneth was born on February 3, 1949, in Great Falls, Montana. He attended grade school and junior high school there. He graduated high school in Miles City, Montana.
He was a member of the Electric City Boxing Club and helped his uncle, Freddy Ameline with his stock car at the races in Black Eagle.
Ken struggled to stay out of trouble and spent time locked up a number of times, for a number of years. But, as he matured in age, he matured in wisdom and lived out his elderly years volunteering at the McLean Animal Shelter, walking dogs and volunteered at the Vineyard Church, preparing food baskets for those in need.
He also helped his brother, James Parker Shield, raise cattle on a small ranch north of Great Falls, and worked on his small home there.
Ken is survived by his brother, James Parker Shield; his sisters, Patricia LaRoque of Marysville, Washington and Karla Raya of Ford, Washington; and his cousins, Greg Silversmith, Ron Ameline, Lisa Hill, John “Chip” Klein, and Tom Klein.
Ken was preceded in death by his daughter, Star.
