LaVonne Pidcock, 76, of Great Falls, died on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Peace Hospice.A funeral liturgy will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., with viewing one hour prior to the service. In honor of LaVonne, all are encouraged to wear her favorite color, red. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.LaVonne was born June 15, 1937 in Hopkins, Minnesota. She was raised at Eden Prairie, MN and graduated salutatorian from Eden Prairie High School. She worked at Red Owl Food Store in Hopkins, MN.LaVonne moved to Montana. Her greatest legacy was in her dedicated role as a stay at home mother to her five children. LaVonne sold Avon for many years, then worked for Buttrey Foods, Target, and Farmers Union, and then helped out at St. Lukes Catholic Church for a short time. In 1998, she moved to California until her health declined, and she moved back to Great Falls.She was active in the St. Lukes Singles Group (Starting Over Singles Group).Survivors include her sons, Mark (Trish) Pidcock of Leesburg, VA, and Shawn (Jane) Pidcock of Vancouver, WA; daughters Michelle (Andre) Jezewski, and Denise (Leslee) Pidcock, both of Great Falls, and Theresa (Russell) Hartman of Bozeman; sisters Beverly Sutton of Eden Prairie, MN, and Ellen Beggs of Flower Mound, TX; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several grandpets.LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Audrey Simons.
