Leo Mathias Gross, 96, of Great Falls was born and raised on a farm and ranch in Brisbane, North Dakota. After his service with the United States Marine Corps in World War II, he earned his private pilot’s license. Leo worked for Minneapolis Moline and transferred to Great Falls in 1950 serving as the warehouse manager until it closed in the mid-1950s. He then worked for the US Postal Service until he retired after 25 years of service. Leo was the youngest of four brothers and one sister, Joe (Ann), Ed (Vivian), Baldwin (RuFina), Vincent (Olivia), and Rose (Ralph) Emineth, all deceased. His wife, Pearl passed away in 1995. His stepson, Mike (Deanne) Barron of Idaho Falls, ID passed away in 2017. He is survived by his son Patrick (Sheryl) of Maple Valley, WA; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters, all of Idaho Falls, ID. Leo loved hunting, fishing, and boating.
