Leon Palmer Bergan, 85, of Great Falls, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018. Leon was born on September 25, 1932 in Scobey, Montana to Palmer and Lydia Bergan. He joined the United States Navy and served during the Korean War, he then served for 33 years in civil service. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, VFW, Moose and Senior Citizens Center. Leon enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, float trips, packing into the Bob Marshall Wilderness, pool, cards, camping, getting firewood and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Marie Bergan of Great Falls; sons Robert (Dede) and Scott (Kitty) Bergan both of Great Falls; sister Toni (Phil) Flannery; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Leon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ronnie, Eugene and Terry; sisters Jeanette and Ella Mae; and grandson Brandon. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.
