Marlene Rae Dell Kress

Marlene Rae Dell Kress, aged 94, passed away in Great Falls, Montana on June 4, 2026. Marlene Brenno was born in Burke County, North Dakota on October 28, 1931, to parents Erwin Brenno and Fern Bonsness.

Marlene was an avid reader, with a shockingly good memory, especially for the British Royal family. She was a thoughtful and tolerant mother and wife, neighbor and friend; a no-nonsense housekeeper; a generous and committed humanitarian who donated regularly to local charities; a fun-loving spirit who appreciated the value of a good prank, a good laugh and a good time; and a talented interior decorator with a sharp sense of color, style, design and scale and an immediate instinct for what worked and didn’t – in all things. Rest in peace Marlene – and remember that God likes his purple plaid recliner.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Royal Henry Kress; and son, Dixon Layne Kress. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Lynne Kress.
