Marvin "Butch" Miller

Marvin Butch William Miller, 53, of Great Falls, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Benefis Hospital.Private family services will be held Friday, February 24, 2017. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.Marvin was born September 25, 1963 in Two Harbors, Minnesota to Marvin Sr. and Sylvia (Medenwaldt) Miller. The family lived in Silver Bay, Minnesota until 1974 when they relocated to Manhattan, Montana. Marvs parents divorced shortly after they moved to Montana. He attended several schools around the Gallatin Valley as his family moved numerous times during his school years.Marv grew up loving the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening. He also loved working on cars and began working at Bozeman Ford in 1983. He worked as a mechanic for several years until an injury in 2004 left him unable to work.He was married and divorced twice, and he relocated from Bozeman to Great Falls in 2006 after his second marriage ended to make a new start near his dad.Marv is survived by his brother, Michael (Joanna) Miller; sister Dawn Miller; and three nephews, all of Great Falls.He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Miller Sr., Sylvia Miller; and stepmother Elly Miller.
