Mary E. Martel, 89, of Vaughn, passed away October 15, 2017 in Floresville, Texas.A graveside service will be Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sun River Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Mary was born on August 1, 1928 to Oscar and Clara (Kinsey) Lewis in Glendive, Montana. She worked for the telephone company and was a bartender, but she was the best homemaker.Mary loved the outdoors, whether it was driving in the mountains, hunting, or fishing. She enjoyed yard work and shopping.She is survived by her loving husband, Josef; daughters Tana Williams and Theresa Rambo; sons Timothy Hawthorne and Terry Martel; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Josef Franz Martel.
