Mary Jane (Fey) Newcomb, 94, of Great Falls, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Mary Jane was born on September 1, 1922 in Great Falls, Montana to Walter and Pauline Fey. She attended schools in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High School in 1940. A lifetime resident of Great Falls, except for a brief time when she was employed in the Boise, Idaho office of Mountain States Telephone Co. She transferred to the Great Falls office to again be with her family and to fulfill a dream of helping her father build a family home. She retired after many years with the company.Mary Jane married Thomas P. Newcomb in 1970. Their marriage was filled with happiness, companionship, and many years of service to family. He preceded her in death in June 1994.She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, fishing, traveling, and her hobby of water and oil painting.Mary Jane is survived by her friend, Pam Guschausky of Great Falls; nephew Jake Fey of California; niece Thelma Roley of Idaho; and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents; sister Louise Elizabeth Betty Fey; brother Walter Fey; and sister-in-law Helen Fey.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Easter Seals Goodwill, 425 1st Ave. N., Great Falls, MT 59401.
