Michael Heisler

Michael Eugene Heisler, 64, of Great Falls, a retired fireman with the Montana Air National Guard, died Friday, August 24, 2012 of natural causes at his home.A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will be immediately following at Mount Olivet Cemetery.Michael Eugene Heisler was born December 24, 1947 to Thomas Heisler, Sr. and Margaret E. (Schwartz) Heisler in Great Falls, Montana. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1967.Michael joined the Montana Air National Guard on November 15, 1982 and ended his term of enlistment in May of 1989. He was a firefighter with the Great Falls MANG Fire Department. He worked many years in the fire equipment business throughout the state of Montana owning his own company. He also worked construction for Lehman Construction and was a bartender throughout the city of Great Falls.His greatest pleasure in life was helping take care of his mother. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. There were many summer trips to Big Fork and the Flathead Lake area with his family.He is survived by his love, Suzanne Schumacher; sister Kay (Ben) van der Steen of Anaheim, California; brothers Tom (Mary Jane) Heisler, Jr. and Bob Heisler, both of Great Falls.He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Heisler, Sr. and Margaret E.
