Patricia Louise Warehime

April 3, 1956 — December 17, 2019

Patricia “Patty” Louise Warehime (Sidor), age 63, passed away from complications due to surgery in the early hours of Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana. A memorial service will be held on January 18, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Patty was born on April 3, 1956, in Great Falls, to Francis and Patricia “Pat” Sidor. She was a 1974 graduate of Great Falls High School and attended the College of Great Falls. She married DuWayne Osterman in 1979; they had two daughters together. Patty and DuWayne divorced in 1999. Patty met Rob Warehime in 2003; they later married in 2012 in a beautiful backyard ceremony in Great Falls, surrounded by close friends and family. Patty loved taking trips with Rob, travelling to Mexico and Jamaica, and many destinations within the U.S. She loved Rob’s sense of humor, his kindness, and his eagerness to be a second dad to her two girls and a grandpa to her granddaughter and soon-to-be grandson. Patty worked in logistics and grain accounting for both General Mills and Columbia Grain. She retired in the spring of 2018. She was an integral part of the Great Falls Figure Skating Club in the 1990s, serving as president of the club for a number of years. Patty volunteered at Benefis Health System after her retirement, and later worked part-time at Bison Ford until her death. Patty is remembered as an amazing and incorrigible mother and grandmother, always there for her two daughters, Lindsey and Virginia, and granddaughter, Lily. Patty was the Sidor family caretaker, always there for her mother before her death in 2005 and, of course, for her two sisters and three brothers. She was a fierce and loyal friend to all who were lucky enough to know and love her. Patty is perhaps best remembered as a camping fiend. She loved Swan Lake, Montana, and spent every summer there since she was a child. Patty used to take her daughters and nieces/nephews down to the lake at night so they could lie in sleeping bags, sip hot chocolate, and look at the stars. Everyone would lie there in awe, listening to the sound of waves rolling against the shore. This was usually followed by a little bit of frog hunting, a slimy institution that her granddaughter continues today. She passed her love of camping on to her daughters and Rob, creating an outdoor tradition for them, a tradition they will continue to uphold and enjoy. Patty was preceded in death by her mother and father, Pat and Fran Sidor, and her mother-in-law, Helen (Grimes) Warehime. Patty is survived by her husband, Rob Warehime; two children, Lindsey (Osterman) Seitz and husband John, Virginia (Osterman) Myllymaki and husband Kyle; two grandchildren, Lily Seitz and Baby Boy Myllymaki; two sisters, Debra Sidor Tanner and husband LeRoy and Teresa Sidor; three brothers, Tom Sidor and wife Karen, Jerry Sidor and wife Diane, Joe Sidor and wife Debbie; eight nieces, Emily (Sidor) Hansen and husband Ryan, Allison (Sidor) Alessandra and husband Ian, Kristie (Sidor) Golik and husband Jacob, Jenna (Cislo) Johnson and husband Dennis, Jessie (Osterman) Plant and husband Samuel, Jayme (Osterman) Wonsick and husband Justin, Jill Osterman and s/o TJ Carlson, Jodi (Osterman) Woods and husband Michael; eight nephews, Tom Tanner, Zach Tanner and wife Mindy, Tyler Sidor and wife Meghan, Jesse Sidor, Benjamin Sidor, Josh Cislo, Ryan Osterman and wife Ashley, Jerad Osterman; and numerous close friends. Patty’s death came very unexpectedly--she had so many more years to live and so much yet to experience. Patty was so excited to meet her first grandson in April; being a grandma to Lily was her favorite thing, and she couldn’t wait to add another grandbaby to her ever-growing family. Her death leaves a deep hole that cannot be filled without her beautiful presence. She was everything to so many of us. She is sorely missed and will be forever loved. Condolences can be sent to Schnider Funeral Home (1510 13th St S) and they will be forwarded to the family home.
