Paul Goldsby

Paul F. Goldsby, 82, of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his home.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 at OConnor Memorial Chapel.Paul was born on March 30, 1934 in Missoula, Montana to Jack and Blanche Goldsby. He graduated from Missoula County High School. He entered the U.S. Air Force for four years. Paul married Beverly McCarty on August 10, 1956 in Missoula and they had three children. He went to the University of Montana for one year. Paul later entered the Marine Corps, which was his true calling, serving for 28 years. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he went back to long haul trucking.He was an avid golfer and a voracious western novel reader. Paul was a member of the Marine Corps League and Eagles Lodge.Paul and Beverly celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a week before he passed away.Paul is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters Kim Ehlert and Kelly Olivares; son Ronald Goldsby; brother Robert Goldsby; grandchildren Adriana Ehlert, Tiffany MacKenzie, Keith Goldsby, Danielle Goldsby and William Ehlert; and seven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia Goldsby.
