Richard Dominic DeFilippis, 70, passed Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Peace Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013. A burial of ashes will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Richard was born October 9, 1943 in Flushing, New York. He was raised there until he entered the US Air Force on March 10, 1964 and served until March 1968. While stationed at Malmstrom he met and then married Constance Macek on December 31, 1966. They moved to Minnesota in 1968 and Richard began his computer career with Univac. He eventually worked with Comten and finished working in the field with NCR, based in Columbia, SC.He became an avid golfer and developed a true passion for the sport. Upon retirement, Rich & Connie returned back to Montana where Rich resumed playing golf with many old friends and family. He truly enjoyed anytime spent with his family and friends. Due to his very social/outgoing nature Rich made many friends along his life's path. He was truly, always the life of the party!Rich is survived by his best friend and wife, Connie; sons, Ty of MA, Todd (Mary) of AZ, and Joe (Fianc, Erin) of Helena; grandchildren, Madyson, Dominic, and Vaugn.A special thanks goes out to Dr. Guter and his wonderful medical team, also to the Peace Hospice angels for their endless loving care.To all of you who touched Richard's heart and soul, he resounds from the heavens, Thank you for being my friend!
