Richard Harold Holets

Richard Harold Holets, aged 87, passed away on July 24, 2025. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 25, 1938, to Harold and Marian (Kidd) Holets.

Richard graduated from Rapid City High School in 1957. He enlisted in the Navy and served from May 22, 1958, to May 2, 1963. While in the Navy, he attended compressed gases school. He was an electrician for 55 years.

He was a member of the Ulm Bible Church and enjoyed golfing, fishing, scuba diving, and cutting wood.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sherry Holets; daughters, Wendy Holets, Bonnie Douglas, and Tracy Krasnov; son, Rick Holets; sister, Susan Thorton; stepbrother, Grant Mattson; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Lown.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ulm Bible Church.
