Robert "Bob" James

Robert Bob James, 82, of Great Falls, passed away at home Tuesday, September 13, 2016.A celebration of life will be Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Bob was born in Jordan, Montana on September 1, 1934 to Pat and Alma James. He graduated from high school in Jordan and was in the Navy from 1953 to 1957, where he became an Electronic Technician. He then went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration. He retired after 38 years.He married Beverly Singer in 1957 and on September 14, 2016 they would have been married for 59 years.Bob always looked forward to bowling and golfing with his friends. He enjoyed the comradery and always had a smile on his face when he came home. He taught us to hunt and fish, and to simply enjoy life around us. He loved nothing more than to visit with family and friends. He always had good stories to share, sometimes with a mischievous smile.He is survived by his wife, Beverly; son Calvin; daughter Robin (Bob) Sainsbury; sisters Karen Barnes and Marion (Harry) Merlak; and his beloved pets, Bella and Bogie.
