Romeo Boze Ranieri passed away peacefully on October 28, 2014 at 80 years of age.Boze was born on December 10, 1933 in Great Falls, Montana to Mary (Matteucci) and Romeo Ranieri.Boze served for 2 years at Camp Desert Rock and Camp Irwin. He began his work life as a carpenter, a smelter worker and then became an entrepreneur beginning with a sandwich and snack delivery business before moving into apartment rentals.Boze was a true family man. He was devoted to his wife of 57 years and was so proud of all his children and grandchildren. He had an amazing work ethic and always stayed true to his core beliefs of God, family and never taking the easy way out.He was an avid fan of both the MSU Bobcats and Notre Dame Irish and even had the opportunity to watch Notre Dame play four times, in person, throughout the years. He also enjoyed traveling internationally and one of his highlights was seeing Pope John Paul II in Rome. At mid-life, Boze developed an interest in collecting antique toys and trucks and spent about 30 years amassing an overwhelming collection that was recently sold at auction.He is survived by his wife, Dolores; children Dan of Great Falls, Ron of Denver, Pauline of Seattle, WA, Mike (Anita) of Spokane, and Kathy of Denver; grandsons Beau and Dylan; granddaughters Tahnee, Michelle, Brooke and Tiffany; three great-grandchildren; sister Lorrie (Del) Peck of Black Eagle; and brother Ray Toots (Deborah) of San Diego, CA.He was preceded in death by his father, Romeo Sr.; mother Mary; and a brother Larry.Special thanks to the owners and staff at the Azalea Place for their family-like care and comfort that they have provided over the last two years to Boze and his family.Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 until the vigil at 7:00 p.m. at OConnor Funeral Home. The funeral liturgy will be on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
