Ruth Marie (Frei) Feller, 90, of Great Falls, died at Montana Peace Hospice on October 11, 2013 of natural causes.At her request, no services are planned. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Ruth was born on September 24, 1923 in Portland, Oregon, to Herman and Lillian Frei. She was raised and attended schools in Portland, Oregon. She married Hobert Feller in Vancouver, Washington in March of 1944.They were married until his passing in August of 1989.Ruth worked in the Oregon ship yards, a sewing machine factory and Kresses Department Store. Ruth and Hobert moved to Great Falls in 1947, where they lived for 5 years. They then moved to Sand Coulee where they resided for 36 years.She enjoyed volunteering for the PTA, 4H, Sletten Cancer Research, Gift of Life, RSVP at the Missouri River Manor, and for the Centerville Senior Citizens Center, where she was twice named Senior of the Year. Ruth also enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, collecting thimbles, angels and playing pinochle.Her granddaughters, Monique Canoy and Shantal Murphy cared for Ruth and she most recently lived with Monique.Ruth is survived by her daughters, Diane (Lowell) Mills of Ocala, FL and Trudi (Roger) Lacy of Tarpon Springs, FL; sons John (Debbie) Feller of Prescott, AZ and Jay (Patty) Feller of Tampa, FL; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 half-sisters and best friend, Janice Ruf.She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lillian Frei; husband Hobert Feller; son Steve Feller in 1973, daughter Jane Feller in 1945; sister Clara Epley; 2 half-sisters and 1 half-brother.Memorials in Ruths name may be made to the McLaughlin Research Institute, 1520 23rd St. S., Great Falls, MT or the Centerville Senior Center, Stockett, MT 59480.Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.schniderfuneralhome.com.
