Sandra Rae Newman Walker, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on August 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with an illness. Born on July 1, 1958, at USAF Mildenhall, Cambridgeshire, England. Sandra’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and selflessness.

In 1978, Sandra married the love of her life, David Walker, in Great Falls, Montana on July 14. Together, they built a life filled with love, joy and shared adventures for an incredible 48 years. As an Air Force wife, Sandra supported David throughout his military service, eventually retiring in Great Falls. Their union was blessed with a son, Adam Walker, who carries forward his mother’s legacy of love and compassion.

Sandra’s life was further enriched by her beloved grandchildren, Miyah Lovec, Arik Walker (Tomisue), and Adrinoa Walker, who were her pride and joy. Her nurturing spirit also extended to daughters-in- law, Heidi Baker and Rhianna Sullivan, who she embraced as her own. Sandra was also blessed with Iliza and a great-grandchild, Arik Walker II, who brought even more joy to her life.

Sandra was the cherished daughter of the late Jerry and Jean Newman. She grew up in a large, warm and loving family, surrounded by her sisters, Sherri Newman-Orberg (John), Teresa Beck (Mike), Brenda Wentz (Nolan), Lori Jansen, Nadelie Newman and Catherine Baillie (Rick); and her brothers, Jerry Newman (Justine) and Edward (Michael) Newman (Annie).

A graduate of Great Falls High School-Go Bison! -Sandra had an insatiable love for learning and personal growth. Her interests were as diverse as they were profound; she possessed a deep passion for reading and gardening, with sunflowers being her favorite bloom. Her garden was a sanctuary of beauty and tranquility, much like her own spirit.

Sandra was a woman who always thought of others before herself. Her infectious smile and generous nature were constant reminders of the boundless love she shared with the world. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Sandra R. Walker leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering generosity. Though she will be deeply missed, her light continues to shine through the lives she touched. Her family, friends, and all who knew her are forever grateful for the time shared with such a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
