Sharon Marlee (Lester) Brandenburg, 75, of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018. Services will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Sharon was born on May 11, 1942 and raised in Great Falls. She attended Great Falls High and Kinman Business College in Spokane, WA. She worked at First Federal Credit Union before she married Ralph in November 1961. For 28 years, Sharon worked various jobs in the Cascade County Treasurer’s Office before retiring in 1999. She had a passion for helping others and was an avid volunteer in the Great Falls community. Benefiting organizations include Commodities, Benefis Foundation, Great Falls Senior Center, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Special Olympics, Spectrum Foot Clinic, and 3-on-3 basketball tournaments. Sharon enjoyed playing bingo, traveling with family, and watching sporting events – both on TV and those of her kids and grandkids. Sharon is survived by her husband, Ralph Brandenburg; daughter Kellie (Scott) Arneson of Bothell, WA; son Rick Brandenburg of Black Hawk, CO; grandchildren Nicholas, Christopher, and Kathryn of Washington and Bailey and Tommy of Colorado; sister Billie Sue (Allen) Bloomgren of Great Falls; nephew Eric (Sarah) Bloomgren and their daughters Hannah and Ava of Great Falls; and nephew Daren (Joella) Bloomgren and their children Alex, Ryan and Miles of Great Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Donald Lester; grandmother Pauline Seibold; and her grandparents Thomas and Ailene Lester. Sharon was a beloved family member whose contagious smile brightened the lives of those around her.
