Steven G. Timmerman, 49, of Power, passed away May 23, 2016, after a hard fought battle with cancer.Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. followed by the vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Power. The funeral liturgy will be Friday, May 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Power High School gym. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Steve was born October 10, 1966 to Frank and Marion (Heisler) Timmerman in Great Falls. He grew up in the Power community and attended Montana State University in Bozeman. After receiving his Bachelors Degree in accounting, he returned to Power where he served as the schools business manager. He loved the school and watching the kids grow. Timmer was dedicated to his community. He was the first one to help, but the last to ask for recognition. Each fall, he would take vacation time to drive combine during harvest, and every spring he helped with tax preparation.Steve was a loyal and dedicated friend, brother, and uncle. He was a lifelong member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church.He is survived by his parents, Frank and Marion Timmerman; sister Patty (Mark) Reagor of Great Falls; brother Daniel (Julia) Timmerman of Dutton; nieces Autumn and Amy Reagor both of Billings, Ashley (Jeffrey) Bybee of Denver, CO, and Savannah and Brooklyn Timmerman both of Dutton; nephew Bridger Timmerman of Melstone; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Power Schools in Stevens name. A scholarship fund will be established.
