Susan Jane Kolar, 72, of Raynesford, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014.Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Schnider Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church in Raynesford on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church in Raynesford on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Susan was born on March 7, 1942 to Wilbur and Dorothy (Solstrom) Johnson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated high school in Bloomington, Minnesota in 1960. She married Charlie Kolar in 1969 in San Diego, California. They lived there until 1974 and then moved to Minnesota.They lived there until 2001, when they moved to Raynesford, Montana.She loved quilting, sewing, gardening, and fishing. She fished at the Rocky Ridge, the ranch pond, and the many lakes of her native Minnesota, never caring if she caught anything. She just wanted to fish. Susan was an excellent cook that helped Charlie pack on some extra pounds. She was also a member of St. Marys Catholic Church for many years.She is survived by her husband, Charlie Kolar of Raynesford; sons Kenneth Kolar of Roseburg, OR and David (Marie) Kolar of Coon Rapids, MN; daughter Mary Kolar-Guillemette of Helena; and grandchildren Joseph, Joshua, Michelle, and Jessica.Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Barbara Potasnak.
