Val Marie Tlustosch, 57, of Great Falls died peacefully at Peace Hospice surrounded by family on January 26, 2022. To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Survivors include her son, Vaughn Tlustosch of Great Falls; grandson, Shye Tlustosch (mother, Kaye); sister, Kim (Jon) Bridges; niece, Stephanee (Joshua) Thornton; great-nephew, Noah; nieces Mikayla (Taylor) Nichols and Savannah Eberhardt; nephew, Keegan Eberhardt; stepsister, Brittney (Jarred) Trammell; great-nephew, Aiden; great-niece, Autumn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by her dog, Dougie, whom she loved the most. Val was born January 21, 1965, in Shelby, MT to Phillip and Donna (Evans) McLachlan. Her mother later moved to Culbertson, MT and married Frank Tlustosch, who adopted Val and Kim. Val graduated from Culbertson High School and gave birth to her son, Vaughn Michael. She attended Minot State University to earn an Associate of Science in Business Management and moved to Great Falls to be closer to her grandmother. Val worked as an accounting associate, office manager, payroll technician, and human resources technician in Great Falls. She was a member of Victory Church and New City Church. Val helped organize the Easter Seals Pink Tea when she worked for Easter Seals, and she enjoyed it greatly. Val loved her son and grandson deeply. She loved to watch movies, read, make her own cards, and spend time with family. She had a very funny sense of humor and was known as the best gift-giver in the family. Val was preceded in death by her grandmothers and grandfathers; mother; younger sister; stepfather; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
