Wayne Joseph Davids, 74, joined his wife in Heaven on October 28th, 2014. Wayne, of 2821 Parkview Dr., a retired mechanic for the Montana Air National Guard, died at a local hospital.A memorial service will be held November 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Burial of ashes will follow at Highland Cemetery. Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Wayne was born December 9, 1939 in Evergreen Park, Illinois. He joined the U.S. Air Force in September 1959. While stationed in Montana he met his future wife, Patty and they were married on February 19, 1962. He left the Air Force in August of 1963 and joined the Montana Air National Guard in April 1964. He was with the Montana Air National Guard until he retired in December 1993.Once retired, he enjoyed time with family, his cabin up at Holter Lake and lots of night fishing. He loved being outside doing whatever yard work needed to be done and was always willing to help anyone and everyone. He loved to visit his buddies for coffee every morning and a beer or two in the afternoon.Wayne is survived by his children, Brian (Cari) Davids and Wendi (Doug) Delk; three grandchildren Ashly (Tim) Staples, Jessica (Tom) Hodge and Brayden Davids all of Great Falls; sister Gloria Kurent of Chicago; brother Joseph Davids of Tampa; sister-in-law Gail Elison of Billings; along with several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty (Blackorby) Davids; daughter Lori Lynn Davids; and parents, Joseph and Rosealma Davids.
